According to Bloomberg Business, AMD has announced a new AI chip called the MI440X, specifically designed for smaller corporate data centers where companies want to keep data on-site. The announcement came during a CES keynote where CEO Lisa Su also touted the top-of-the-line MI455X and previewed the forthcoming MI500 series of processors set to debut in 2027. Su claimed the MI500 series will deliver up to 1,000 times the performance of the MI300 series first rolled out in 2023.
