According to DCD, UK data center firm Netwise is significantly expanding its London East facility after taking full control of Units 5, 6, and 7 on the south side of the Datapoint Estate in East London. The acquisition adds another 12,000 sq ft of data center space, bringing the total NLE facility footprint to 38,000 sq ft. The expanded site is expected to eventually house around 500 racks across all active data halls once fully deployed. Netwise director Matt Seaton called it an “incredibly exciting time” for the company as demand for high-quality data center space in London continues to grow. Initial refurbishment works are already underway, including expanding the front compound and installing more perimeter security. The company, founded in 2009 as Netwise Hosting, is currently working on NLE Phase III with Data Hall 5 scheduled for 2026 and Data Hall 6 expected in 2027.
