Traditional server designs typically featured one or two processors per motherboard, but current AI infrastructure demands far greater computational density. Sources indicate that individual servers now accommodate up to eight graphics processing units, with the most advanced AI models requiring millions of GPUs functioning collectively as unified systems.

Analysts project massive investment in AI data center infrastructure, with estimates suggesting $1 trillion in spending by 2030. TD Cowen analysts reportedly estimated earlier this month that the market for AI networking chips could reach $75 billion annually by 2030.
“Every time you see a new announcement of a gigawatt data center, you can rest assured that we view that as an opportunity,” Brennan told investors during a September earnings call according to reports. The competitive landscape includes major players like Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices, which maintain their own networking businesses and influence technology selection within their broader systems.
